returning to your gallery again, I've not commented on so much it's hard to know where to start. I start with this because it shows your sense of subtle & always correct detail, your constant knack for proportion, your sense of pov (a photographic term which applies to 3D rendering & architectural drawing of all kinds), and your sense of mood as well as your usual deft humor & subtlest kinds of play. I don't know how many homes you have like this in Europe (my ignorance), but in America, late 19th C Victorian & other Gothic styles flourished like a flood: You see them everywhere, even here in Chicago. You show the style in the sloped roofs, the dormers & in the ever-present gothic arches of this style. They're so suited for "haunting" and halloween. (The original halloween--as I'm sure you know--was about spirits visiting the living, asking for redemption etc. It was a pretty weighty vision.) The angle of your render & the interjection of trees & branches are all masterful. The tear drop tiles are masterfully done (in america, as you know, the tiles will vary from 2 or even more styles, sometimes 3 next to each other in one wall or roof!), on one slope you have two different lengths with one dovetailing the other (always attentive to detail), you picked a fine angle to show off the angular style (it would make a good photograph), and you've left 2 of the 3 gothic windows dark--a nice halloween touch. There's even a lighter & darker hue to the trees, indicating fore, middle & background. Really finely done, Koosie. And your balustrades are not only all equal in attention to detail but you've handled the pileup of balustrades caused by right angles (on the right) with perfect aplomb. That's the attention to detail I'm talking about...And who can't help but think of your pawns, when seeing them? I like the feathered black-border too. Wonderful "Koosie" care & detail, and a lovely image for us americans who probably care about this holiday more than we should. A real piece of care: Your gallery's loaded with it.
