Description

I know this isn't my greatest post, but I am sure it's not my worst post. This was taken right before the the deer jolted across the highway. I grabbed a shot of him as we passed standing on the side of the road giving us a dirty look, but he turned out very blurry. This was taken at about 70 MPH. I like this one because of the trees on the hillside are multi-colored. I had an awesome time there. We seen all Dave's relatives that we usually only see at the reunion. They had my favorite root beer on tap, and we got to dance a little. I got lots of shots and am making them a DVD for their anniversary gift. I had their daughters tell me what their favorite music is. Dave's mom forgot to put batteries in her camera, so I will be making two copies, one for them and one for Juanita, Dave's mom. I am beginning to see a pattern with this lately. We either forget the camera or forget the batteries, and then she sees a shot she wants, she waves her arms wildly. I have a lot of the gallery to tramp through, I didn't get a chance at all yesterday. Have a great night or day. Love you tons, Cheri

Great shot! Could this be a shot glass? or glass shot? It sounds like you had a lot of fun and I look forward to any other pictures of this get-together.

Stellar perspective and clarity in this keen kapture of the hill and the road to Waupaca, Cheri! And, never have I ever forgotten batteries for my camera. That is like forgetting to take along water on a trek across the desert. In fact, I always take along an extra pack of batteries or two.

Nice clear image. This works on a number of levels. Visiting family is always like going home. Then there is the pull of the open road, let's go somewhere. And of course the tree covered hill is beautiful and I wonder what it would be like hiking up there.

I love taking shots like this, and I love seeing other people's! I always think the images I get like this are too ordinary to post, but seeing yours, I've obviously been mistaken. I ALWAYS forget that not everyone has the same sort of landscape we have here! Even without the road sign, I would know for a fact that this was nowhere near Seattle. It's wonderful to see other parts of the world!

Very nice travel shot! I'm glad y'all had a nice time. I love talking to my sons, and nieces about music. I've never talked to my nephew about music, but it was interesting to hear what he had lined up on his ipod for his wedding reception. Look forward to more photos from this trip!

This is a marvelous shot. It looks like you guys are heading right toward some intriguing geological formation in much the same way Roy Neary went towards Devil's Tower in Close Encounters of the Third Kind. Anyway, movie references aside; this is fantastic. I really love this shot.

Ah .... The long open road in the U.S. I know it well with young Bill... This would be called 'Drive by Shooting...' by Bill and I... You are very welcome to join the club.. Lol Glad you had a great time, you keep on having good times.. Get out as much as you can.. Go places, see things.. Enjoy life to the Max... Take care.. Rob

I love road trips and photos made from moving cars and this one goes to the top of the list! The lighting is perfect, the image is so sharp it feels like you're actually in the car. I also love the turning leaves on the hill that seem to increase the depth of field. And I admire anyone who can keep reflections of the dashboard off the windshield! Aside: I had family in Northern Minnesota and we used to drive though Wisconsin ( obviously ) to get there. I also have a very close friend who grew up in Waupaca. Small world! Anyway, a great shot!

Nice capture. I could not get that kind of capture except during the winter cause the windhield is always full of bugs as I pass the lake to town to see the doctors.
