Description

This is another image pulled out of the archives. Ms. Duran was someone I once worked with and dated a few times. I remember she married a fellow in law enforcement but I cannot remember her first name to save my life. Memory does that sometimes. See what you young'uns have to look forward to.

Don't you hate it when you're trying to remember something, and it's so close you can feel it on the edge of your memory, and then it glides away, sometimes with a faint laugh. Very nice portrait of a very pretty girl with absolutely gorgeous hair. I like the textures, rough wall, smooth skin, silky hair and the dress has to be cotton. It works very well in B&W.

She reminds me of my friend Michele, who was probably an infant in upstate NY around the time this photograph was taken. I thought I would tell you that, rather than saying "she reminds me of someone ..." because I'm quite proud of myself (at my age) that I actually know who she reminds me of, and could call that person's name to mind! LOL! A lovely portrait.

Some lines from a song that often played on the AM radio about when this photograph was taken are running through my mind now .. for the first time in many a year . . . Don't it make you wanna go home now?... Don't it make you wanna go home? Now the grass don't grow and the rivers don't flow like they did in our childhood days ... and ... Don't it make you wanna go home now? Don't it make you wanna go home? Would that we could! Would that we could! Terry

I once developed a strategy for response when I meet a bloke who says something like 'do you remember the great time we had at ... in 1969 etc?'. I should hate to hurt his feelings by declaring him completely forgettable, and so devised the perfect sentence, getting us both off the hook. Unfortunately I can't recall it at present.

It's fun to rummage through old photos and pull out memories! You were a wonderful photographer then as well. It's a candid snapshot but I think it tells a lot about you. It's a very pretty and romantic shot.
