Description

Hi, Most of you have read what has been going on with me. After much thought about my situation I realized that there are people and families here in the same uninsured boat. Health care reform is not coming swiftly enough. I have to do something. It's more than obvious a lot of people, Men, Women, and children are going to be left on their own. I can't let that happen. I know why the Badger Care program went bankrupt and I will share that later. Right now I am looking at calling insurance companies and finding out what it would take to get a statewide insurance co-op going. There are way too many people who are uninsured. I know this is happening everywhere, but maybe we can pave the way. Start this, be successful, and others will pick up the torch in their states. This I think is my calling. This is why I am here, at this time, going through this adversity. I can not let people suffer because there is no help. I have to do something. I will try to post and comment as much as I can, but I may get really busy. This my friends is something I must do. Thank you all for all the prayers, lit candles, positive vibes, and love. You have no idea how much I love you all. If you get the notion please pick up the torch in your state, as I go along and find the path I will share it with you. One person can always make a big difference on a grand scale. Much love and peace, Cheri

Leave it to Cheri, in the face of the biggest letdown of her life. to find a way to turn it around and then persist on finding a way to help others. All of this will do nothing to help or change her current dilemma, and in fact drain her of the strength and energy she needs to still fight her own personal battle with the breast cancer she has. Whether I like this new twist on things or not, I know she's going to follow through with every ounce she has,.....so....I guess I will be in the front lines of this, I'll stand in front and take the shots that will be fired in her direction, and by her side when she needs a rest. I have all of you behind her, so I'm not really worried much about that aspect. This is going to get very interesting, wish her well and wish her strength...sigh! Baby, we really should get you better first, before taking on all of this. Perhaps being the love slave of an Orangutan might not have been so bad after all!....anyway, if this is really what you want, then I'm in, both feet, no testing the water first! If any of you out there actually read what I wrote, your comments to it, aside from maybe the Orangutan thing, would be most appreciated. We will most likely be in need of suggestions and help here, and everyone knows something, or someone who does!

Anything you can do to initiate change in the health insurance situation can only be a good thing! May your ray of sunlight (the co-ops) grow to be a great success and an example of an affordable alternative (and please keep us posted on your progress!)

Looks like the sun is breaking through the clouds. The new tonight said that 8 million new people lost their health insurance last year. There are currently between 30 and 45 million without helath insurance in this country. I wish you all success in your battle Cheri and will pass along what ever I can find that might help.

Lovely cloud shot Cheri and wish you both the best as you go into this fight for yourself and for the many poorer people that fall and no one is there to help them, Health wise.. May the sun shine on you both.. I am glad we don't need health insurance here in New Zealand.. If you have it you can get private hospital care but if you don't the public hospitals take care of you via the government..you just have to wait a bit if it isn't an emergency..

Great pic, I agree with everyone else, do take care of yourself but I also wish you well in your battle with the Insurance. As with Barry, we have the national health service, so we wouldn't get into the same situation. We may complain but we are lucky. We are all here for you. xxxxxxx

I think your battle is worth while, but in the meanwhile you should get cured. A place with anational public health service. Possibly Canada or Great Britain, where they cure people even if they are illegal aliens.

I do not think Health care reform as it is in congess is good. Many countries have it that way and what i read and even knew people here on this site is not good. One I know live in Spain and had to to another country just to get her teeth fix and it took six years for her to do this. that is what Health care reform is now been talked about in Congress. TV news do not report this stuff. What you thinking may be a better idea with the co-op way . I do not know . very good image

There is strength to be found in fighting for something you passionately believe in. I wish the very best for you. I admire your strong will and determination. I find inspiration in you caring spirit. As the wife of retired military, I have the public option that so many are afraid of. If any information comes my way that might be of help to you I will send it immediately. Please take care of yourself. Keep your passions strong but give your body the rest it needs. Bless you, my friend.

I wish you luck. The problem is everyone plays politics with the issue instead of what is right. What you are suggesting is pretty much what the republicans are asking for but the Democrats will never do it because it was there idea. Tort reform would also lower the cost a lot but again the trail lawyers have got too much power to get that through. If people could jion a national coop pharmacy I bet drug prices would drop too, but again the drug companys have to much power to get that past. The way I see it the problem will only be solved when people finally decide to pay attention and put their normal politics aside as say what would be good without bankrupting the country and leaving our children worse off than our parents left us.
