Description

Yep, apparently those porky-pines just love munching the tubers of these Arum Lilies. In Afrikaans it is a 'Varklelie' ~ Pig Ear ~ maybe because the white petal looks like a pig's ear? These were a display at the entrance to the hall for the Darling Flower Show. I have never seen so many of them growing wild in the veld as on the drive there. They put the daisies to shame! Well this is basically the end of the shots from that outing ~ at last, I hear ~ so I will have to look what else I have ... oops ... more flowers! Cheers, Clive Zantedeschia aethiopica ~ for the FF's at RR! (Flower Fundi)

Oh gosh - I was probably right at the back of the line when FF genes were shared.... But I know beauty and this is gorgeous! The light on these Varklelies are just awesome Clive!!! Here I am trying my hardest to get them to grow in my garden and down there the darn porcupines have them for lunch... Life is not fair!!! LOL...

These are gorgeous! I put some in my garden several years ago, but it's been a while since I've seen them. I'll enjoy yours ... it's hard to imagine these growing wild. Lekker varklelie!
