Hi, I'm Marilyn. Â I've been posting here on RR for a few years now and thought it was time to update my profile. Â It's been wonderful learning so much from the amazingly talented people here. Â I've had the chance to meet many in person and some have become great and good friends. Â Starting with a Kodak Brownie camera when I was about 7 or 8, moving up to Instamatics, Polaroids, then the Pentax K1000 that really got me on the way, I've been looking at the world thru a lens for a long time. Â Got the bug honestly; my dad was a photographer and gave me the gene!! Â Digital changed the world and I jumped in with both feet. Â You would've gone thru 100's of rolls of film in one day the way we can shoot and delete all day long. Â Progess...it can be awesome sometimes.
At any rate, RR rocks, the talent is over the top and I'm just gonna keep on shooting!!
Thanks for looking and keep those cameras rollin'!!
peace.....marilyn

The resident must be a photographer him/herself. Who else would think of doing this? You may have been photographed while taking this picture:-)

Humm, now you got me wondering too. Sure it wasn't a reflection off a mirror or something? Nice find. Aloha

LOL. Cool find!

Hmmmm, maybe thevolunteer has something there with her mirror theory. Then again, if this was at Venice Beach I'd shrug it off as just another bit of kookery from that unusual lot, but in this instance I'm lost for a rational explanation, M. How about something supernatural, such as sorcery, the black arts, etc.
MrsLubner
Yes, well... It was Southern California... do you really need more explanation? Where to you think Mendo does most of it's business? LOL I love this so much, I'm tempted to copy it at home...

Well, imho it is a very expensive work of art!! :| I have seen something similar in the Guggenheim Art Museum in NYC a couple of years back. It was a flattened chair mounted in a corner... It had its own guard protecting it and was called art.... I'm not kidding!!! So, there you have it.... LMAO!!

Holy frak! This is funny, but when I was in Cesky Krumlov, I met an American girl who did art installations, usually involving furniture bolted to ceilings or walls. I can't remember her name but this reminds me of her! WOW... Aside from that, however, I love the quirkiness of this, and your presentation of it rocks. It kind of reminds me of a scene from Stanley Kubrick's 2001: a Space Odyssey only it doesn't have a couple of futuristic scientists in 1970s plaid, walking along the a space station's rotational curve, while tables and chairs appear to "hang" overhead. This is great and I love the way it's sparking all sorts of associations in my mind, ranging from the Czech Republic to...outer space! Well...I suspect that's typical of me. Great work!
