Description
After dinner one night, we took a walk along a pier on Lake Superior. The sun was setting and it was early evening. This is one of the later shots. I didn't have a tripod, so I used the wall of the pier to steady my camera. I was enthralled with the reflection of the lights on the water. I probably took dozens of photos just of this area, maybe composed slightly differently. I will have some more photos to share that I took on this walk. It was fun taking the photos at this time of day. I sure would like to try again.

I so rarely get to see the OTHER Great Lakes, and this is a perfect shot of the biggest of them! I love the darkness and the distinct spots of light and the shimmering reflections. The whole image works perfectly, each element building into a satisfying whole! Great stuff!
