Description

Good evening! THE TROSSACHS - a soft rounded areal of land directly at the feet at the first highland mountains. Embedded in this fine landscape are a group of Lochs, nearly a dozen, some of them very small, others a little bit larger. Most famous of these Lochs is Loch Katrine. The Trossachs are a main scottish tourist attraction since many decades. Famous Scottish poet and writer Sir Walter Scott used this landscape and its inhabitants for many of his novels, for example "Rob Roy", who lived here. This country once was the land of the Clan MacGregor; it reached from here to the northeastern parts of Loch lomond. Robert MacGregor himself was born in small village at Loch Katrine. Capital of the Trossachs is Callander, a fine little village with lots of bakeries, cafes and elder tourists, a "nice little tourist trap", as my tourist map explains..... Callander is situated at the river Teith - and this is it, what the pic shows: A house at the Teith near Callander. Hope you enjoy this house. Comments are always welcome. Thanks for your comments fr my older pics. Till tomorrow! billcody
