My first visit to Georgia, I can remember spending the night with some family, and they had this huge spider right out side their front door in the garden, they said it was I believe a Writing Spider, my thought was go write somewhere else, and they told me it was their pet' lol I was so ready to hop back on a plane after that.. So are you getting as much rain as we are here in Tennessee ? I am about sick of rain and I normally love rain.

Looks like an Orb Weaver. The ones who survive to late Fall can become quite large. Great shot!
