My name is Tara, and I was born and raised in Washington State.
Â
In 2010 I married Bill (bmac62) and retired ... two of the best choices I ever made! :)
Â
In March, 2013, we sold our home in Washington and went on the road in our RV full time. What a blast! There is so much world out there to see!
After traveling around the West for a few years, we got rid of the motorhome and are now spending winters in deep-south Texas and summers in Washington State. Spring and fall finds us visiting whichever place strikes our fancy at the time!

Pretty swish:) Lighting and shadows are cool.

Wow, I wish I was sitting on the deck looking at the mountains. Second best would be sitting inside visiting with friends, or reading a book. Two great photos.

This is a stunning picture and the clever way in which you kept the inside darker and allow the wonderful scene to speak for itself! Bravo Tannie!!! Now imagine a watering hole just about 10M from the deck with an elephant taking a mud bath... I have experience that in a very similar dwelling! :)

looks like a great place in a great environment!

I could do with a home like that, or at least a room in a home like that...or something! Anyway...this rocks! I love the somber colors that aren't somber at all, and the shadowy mood of the interior is such a perfect play against the light. There are some wonderful, dancing colors in here, and they remind me of the sort of embrace you'd get in a favorite sweater, especially if that favorite sweater happens to smell just right. This image evokes a LOT and that's always a good thing!

I have a friend in Auburn I'll be visiting in December. I am considering a move out of California. This looks very inviting and your pictures make a great case for living in Washington.
