My name is Tara, and I was born and raised in Washington State.
Â
In 2010 I married Bill (bmac62) and retired ... two of the best choices I ever made! :)
Â
In March, 2013, we sold our home in Washington and went on the road in our RV full time. What a blast! There is so much world out there to see!
After traveling around the West for a few years, we got rid of the motorhome and are now spending winters in deep-south Texas and summers in Washington State. Spring and fall finds us visiting whichever place strikes our fancy at the time!

She does look like she is having fun. I bet the water was cold.

Yeah - I knew it was Lake Michigan before I read the narrative! Do I get a gold star for Geography now? Hiehie... What a gorgeous pic of our friend - in her element... the place she loves most! Wonderful image Tara... :))

More for my virtual world tour! All looks like fun! Cheers, Clive

Its obvious to me she's prentending to be strolling along the water's edge....when in actual fact she is planning her next fishing expedition. The fish in there should be suitably nervous!

A day on those beaches that it isn't windy is a day to enjoy! Glad you could and nice shot.

fantastic shot ! was the water cold ? .. supposedly, the Great Lakes dont wearm up until October ..including mine here Lake Ontario..I dont know about this year tho ..the summer wasnt really that warm to begin with

I suspect Marilyn will travel anywhere, given the price of a ticket...just don't suggest a destination without a beach, right? Trips to the Sahara and Gobi are probably out.

Excellent capture of the moment. She is like me, when I'm on the beach I have to walk in the water. :)

At the beach AND with a camera around her neck. Thanks for the postings. Always a joy, to see the person, behind the camera. Dana

Is there anything else in Chicago? LOL I know when I went to Cleveland, I spent 90% of the time on the shore at Lake Erie. Is there anything else to do in Cleveland??? this is a great shot of Marilyn.

Wow, Tara, I remember when you took this, but I didn't expect to see it here!!! Thanks for the sweet words. I am a bit fond of water--and no, it wasn't cold!!

Oh, this is perfect! She's in her element! This captures that perfectly, absolutely perfectly. It's even better, because Chicago is colder brass underwear right now, and this is a note of warmth on numerous levels that just melts the grungy cold away. Perfect work here, and since Marilyn dipped her feet in Lake Michigan, I can officially say that it has beaches worth going to...even if they're a bit small. Fantastic work.

Great shot.

Absolutely perfectly titled. Great shot and lighting. I knew as soon as I seen the seaweed it was Lake Michigan. By August the lake is pretty well warmed up.
