Description
For all you vampires out there, tonight's menu is Beefcake, served with a Stud Muffin.
I didn't want to seem like a sexist pig so I figured I should do a male pinup at least once in a while.
Actually, this was a lighting experiment. I was trying to recreate the look of a soft box with that single broad light look. (Not a favorite among pros, I'm sure.)
Anyway, to create the soft box look, I actually used an array of five overlapping lights. I added enough blur to their shadows so that they would seem like one.
These five lights use raytraced shadows, which is why I wanted a character with no hair. As I mentioned in a previous picture, if he would have had hair, the render probably wouldn't have finished before New Year's.
I like the look it produced, but I think I had best save this lighting setup for special occasions.
