UPDATED: September 19, 2010
Hi, My name is Bill and I am updating my homepage to reflect a wonderful event in my life...marriage, September 18, 2010, to my best friend Tara...known to many of you as auntietk here on Renderosity.
We "met" shortly after I joined Renderosity in August 2008. We share a love for photography and indeed all types of art.
We live north of Seattle and enjoy getting to share photographic excursions and information with other Renderositians ( is "Renderositians" even a word? ). LOL
As for me, it seems like I've been taking pictures all my life but I didn't get serious enough to purchase my first Digital Single Lens Reflex (DSLR) camera until May 2008. In May 2009 I upgraded from an Olympus E-510 to an Olympus E-30 with a wide variety of lenses.
My subject areas of interest include absolutely everything but with a frequent return to airplanes, cars, tanks, etc., ...or as Tara says, machines that make lots of noise;-)
If you are curious, I am pictured above in a Grumman Corsair on a taxiway of the Kansas City Downtown Airport. I used to fly and train others to fly airplanes. That will explain my frequent forays into the world of aviation. Last but by no means least, thanks to Pannyhb for introducing me to Renderosity. The moment I saw it I was hooked.
Fine print: Yes, the photo above is a photo manipulation:-)

wonderful photo and great POV!!!

Impressive and wonderfully moody. I'm a big fan of the re-imagined Battlestar Galactica and even though this is not a Colonial viper, or even a Cylon raider, it has that same moody vibe. You can't escape its purpose and yet you're entranced by the beauty of it, the magnificence. Killing machines (including fighter planes) are always like that, and this is superb. The clouds enhance so much of it and the POV is stunning. Wonderful work. I particularly love the dominance of the metallic colors. Even the clouds are the gray of gun metal.

This is a fabulous example of what you can do with cropping. The wow factor here is off the scale, simply because you took out all evidence of the ground. Excellent image!!

Excellent crop. After you told us it's an F4, I can relate to the long tailfin.

Stellar POV and ominous mood in this shot, Bill! This looks like a typical scene from one of the many airliner-in-trouble movies that have entertained us over the years.

LOL I took some shots of two different mills in Virginia the other day on the second one that took me all day to find, I got a bit turned around on this country road, anyway by the time I found it, I think I must have been tired because after viewing my photos, I noticed most of the better photos have my car in the left hand corner so I am going to have to do some tricky crop work on them I will remember next time though, lesson well learned. Great shot Bill.

outstanding pov and effect of being in harms way if the engine should start
Buffalo1
Fine crop to make this F-4 come alive. Now if only there only was a smoke trail from the GE engines...
