Hi, I'm Marilyn. Â I've been posting here on RR for a few years now and thought it was time to update my profile. Â It's been wonderful learning so much from the amazingly talented people here. Â I've had the chance to meet many in person and some have become great and good friends. Â Starting with a Kodak Brownie camera when I was about 7 or 8, moving up to Instamatics, Polaroids, then the Pentax K1000 that really got me on the way, I've been looking at the world thru a lens for a long time. Â Got the bug honestly; my dad was a photographer and gave me the gene!! Â Digital changed the world and I jumped in with both feet. Â You would've gone thru 100's of rolls of film in one day the way we can shoot and delete all day long. Â Progess...it can be awesome sometimes.
At any rate, RR rocks, the talent is over the top and I'm just gonna keep on shooting!!
Thanks for looking and keep those cameras rollin'!!
peace.....marilyn

Extraordinary!! I expect the Ancient mariner to appear any moment.

Other-worldly. This is another winner...coloring, mist, sun reflecting off the water. If I took this photo it would look very common by comparison:)

Soft and gentle... one of those moments when it seems the name Pacific fits.

This is gorgeous! Nicely moody! Misty veils of fog always do that though, and the crispness of the water rocks! I love the comment you wrote as well, it fits in so many ways, and the boat sailing through the mist into Avalon recalls the title of an interesting take on the King Arthur legend by Marrion Zimmer-Bradley: The Mists of Avalon...great work on every level, and now I think I'm going book hunting.
