Description

NWDA sky, Walli trees, 3dDaz model. Let me tell you a story... JPSoft started me on a quest - his beautiful images made me want to have a ship also. I know I can't approach his work, but finding a ship - heck that shouldn't be too hard. I asked JP where he got his, but the original seller is no where to be found. A few days later I saw a different ship (the Medusa) that Buzz was using at planetside. So that led me to DAZ3d. I bought the model for 15 dollars (10.46 after my first buy discount). I loaded the obj I found into TG2 and looked for the mtl file and the image was all white. So with fingers crossed I downloaded DAZ Studio 3d. I loaded the character file (I think) and then exported the whole thing as an object with the option clicked to include the mtl file. When TG2 took it in, all 88 surfaces that had a bitmap failed. All I had to do was go into each node and change "/map" to "map". (it probably would have worked if I had the object in the map directory. Anyway, the process was almost plug and play. Resulting in a plug and play TG2 scene (that I wish I could do more with). So, my opinion... TG2 and DAZ Studio 3 were made for each other!!!

What an incredible piece of work. Very impressive composition and so beautiful. Love the water. Good to know about DAZ Studio 3 working so well in Terragen. Thanks.

Getting objects into TG2 complete with mtl file isn't as straightforward as it should be. But you got there in the end, and it was well worth the effort as this a great scene. Well done.
