Description
This was a study of meditation and stillness, while trying to maintain intimacy and dynamic - sounds like a paradox and that tension was what I sought to capture here.
I want the viewer to be swept into the inward gaze, to be drawn so close that you can hear the figures steady rhythm of breath; to feel the heat rising from his body; to be calmed and enthralled at once.
This is also the first time I've been truly happy with my hair painting! Thanks to Nan Fredman for the tips and coaching, I think I've finally 'got it'. Now if only I can 'keep it'. : )
