Description

Another shot from my birthday road trip a couple of weeks ago. This poor tank sits alone atop a small hill about 100 yds from the house in my post "High Desert Fixer Upper". I don't know if it served that house because there were two slab foundations just to left of the tank. The tank looks so lonely out in the high desert, surrounded by run down homes and years of weeds. PS: For all of you who left wonderful comments on my last post "My 100th - In Memoriam" thank you so much. Your words were a great comfort and source of encouragement.

I like the contrast you captured between the rusty look and the pretyness of the sky.

This is probably the strangest of leaps, but this reminds me of a scene from the Russ Meyer film, "i>Faster Pussycat, Kill, Kill. It was a scene in which the trio of bad girls, led by Tura Satana (as "Varla") made use of a water tank such as this. This works perfectly on its own however, without any Russ Meyer references. Super work with a wonderful sense of detail, color and perspective. I love this.
