truly one of your most touching recent images, touching & gentle and a very loving gift for your dear friend Suzanne. Your pawns are delightful, playing & singing on an angle to Suzanne (love that accordion dammit! where once again you got the details just right, you little sneak: the right proportion of black to white keys, and the angles of the chord buttons). And I assume that's Suzanne in the window ("but soft, what light through yonder window breaks?") (Romeo & Juliet, lol): She's so lovingly thought out & placed against the red background, she's just perfect. You use white space so well, as you do in many other works; and the wall and ground are softened by texturing (the stone details are very real, but also soft). And where did you ever come up with the lines on those trees, lol? They're like birch bark, but they also echo the lines of the wall & street: Love them! A gentle & loving tribute, and a really beautiful birthday gift. Hey, I'm only 6 weeks late commenting, but I loved it the minute it went up. Beautiful work Koosie. A great card.
