Description
I wanted to depict the child's wonder at discovering by chance something beautiful and extraordinary in an old familiar everyday environment... of about 150 years ago.

If this...and the other works of your little gallery are a sampling of a larger body of works; then, with Oliver twist, I say - "Please Sir: I want some more!" The variety and exquisitiness of concept and execution in your gallery is enjoyably wonderful!

Yet another one exhibiting excellent composition. And I really appreciate the camera bank (tilt) too, it adds a playful whimsical feel to the scene. I think the lighting in this scene is pretty accurate. We do have the candle light fighting the "garden" light a little but I think that's exactly what would happen if this were real world light. I love the fact how you added JUST enough emphasis such as the plant and butterfly to suggest the subject has just discovered a new world. You left the rest to viewers imagination which reads more like a book rather than a render. I love the attention to detail, such as the candle flame blowing backward. Little details like that really sell the scene in my personal view and taste. Excellent!
