Description
Wake up in the quiet night
Your eyes are tight
Your voice is light
    I hear you talking in your sleep
    Secrets you keep
    Buried so deep
Things that you whisper to a ghost
I hear...almost
Scare me the most
    What do you keep bottled inside
    Won't be denied
    It will not hide
Some thing in moonlight you greet
My pulse is fleet
Heart skips a beat
    What do ethereal lips say
    Don't speak, I pray
    Send it away
What did you invite to my home
What have I sown
Leave me alone
    Wake up after deep midnight
    The moon is bright
    The stars are right
I hear, remember what you say
Your secrets stay
The price I pay

Haunting words and image. Your words give an insight into an all to common affliction which can not be fully appreciated by those untouched by it. The main stressor, war, seems to be a human condition we can't shake. Those who we send into harms way, and those who face other extreme situations, need continual support as do their loved ones. Beautifully written.

Wonderful image and poem, they complement each other perfectly. As to the subject matter, I am so sorry if you are afflicted with this. I know it is an eternal drain on your emotions and energy. To survive you need to strive to keep your priorities straight. Priority one: Cling to the love of family and friends.
