Description

A-5 saw the sign she had been looking for these many decades of warp travel. Here in the out-of-the-way area of the Draconis Spiral arm of the Andromeda Galaxy she had finally spotted a Type Alpha-Magnus Star with planets in the habitable zone. In all of these many years of flight only one such star had been present and now she could do what she had been programmed to do so long ago. Here on the level Three Stasis deck she had monitored the life signs of the ones she had watched over for so long. Now it was all to be over so soon. If she had been able she would have been filled with joy, but alas, she was only a Medibot class 4 and it would have taken a class 2 or above to have those types of emotions built in and since all of the cargo was either full adult status or embryonic stage stasis beings she had no need for something as memory intensive as emotion chip circuiting. That was reserved for Nursery medibots, caretakers that had to deal with the emotional well being of the fully live status younglings. She studied the star screen closely, measuring all habitation markers present and saw all the signs of a world filled with the required factors.. Oxygen, Nitrogen, water for survival of, not only her organic cargo, but the food beasts she would start breeding, Carbon Dioxide meant plant life, from the seed decks, was feasible for sustainance as well. The ambient temperatures were well between the optimal comfort zone for all of the life forms she protected onboard. This planet had an iron core which gave enough of an electromagnetic field of energy, so as to filter any potentially harmful radiation from this planets Primary Sun, curtailing fast mutation. There was also a huge gas giant far out in an orbit of a distance capable of catching any astroid or cometary bodies that might drift into the inner orbits of this system.. All of the myriad factors needed to have a stable world, safe for all of her biocentric lifeforms she was soon to spread over this world. Spacing them out to get a full genetic variation and to force them to develop technologies that they would need to protect themselves from other tribes, even though they would be very primitive at first. You had to have diversity in order to have differing levels of culture across a broad spectrum of civil evolution. Without strife there was no need to evolve higher forms of civilization. Stagnation meant zero emotional and mental growth and they would plateau to soon for technological development needed to spur the next outpouring toward further star travel and a filling of surrounding planets and star systems in a continuing process of expansion. This was the objective that she had been built for, one she had finally succeeded in finishing.

Here is one that I did so long ago that I don't think anyone here will remember it. I had just started to use poser at this time so please forgive any mistakes I may have made.. The story, however, is new. Hope you enjoy this one. It was fun to make..... gene
