Description

A fun shot from my birthday road trip of a few weeks ago. Living east of San Diego, we've always avoided the Interstate 5 traffic messes through Los Angeles by taking I-15 through San Bernadino/Riverside and then cutting west on California Highway 138 through Palmdale and rejoining I-5 just south of Gorman. Through the years we must have past this place dozens of times and always said that one day we were going to stop. We'll I finally did, and contrary to what the sign in the window says -it was closed. This was just about the time evacuations were happening because of the huge Sheep Fire just south and east of here. Maybe the owners had to go home and pack up or something. Anyway, it's still and interesting place from the outside and I thought you'd enjoy seeing it.

Wonderful scenery...this just drips with local atmosphere. I love the "western" look of this as well as the sense of color. Perfect work.
