Description

It’s April 6, 1945 and Commander Ernest Pike from CV-10 USS Yorktown has joined up with a formation of SB2C Helldivers to make a run on the beached IJN Battleship Yamato at Okinawa. Pike: "Chalk up another one for the S.O.B second class dive bombers!" The Yamato actually never made it to Okinawa, as a force of around 280 aircraft caught the immense 867 foot battleship in the straight near Bungo Suido south of the southern most Isand of Japan. The smoke from the resulting explosions reached four miles in to the air and could be seen from the southern most island of Japan. Beyond all question, the mystery of godliness is great: He appeared in a body, was vindicated by the Spirit, was seen by angels, was preached among the nations, was believed on in the world, was taken up in glory. I like the image, the white stuff in the water at the back of the boat getts my attention over all and if the boat went through it, then it would be busted up if it was ice or foam... so, that is an issue that catches my attention right away when viewing, everything else looks super.

Wonderful action image, Looks like the japs are throwing everything they have at this ship.. Great POV and smoke effects.. top job on this!! And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory. 1 Timothy 3:6 A.V./ K.J.V. Love this from the KJV because it tells you who ..He.. was. It was God himself that was manifest in the flesh.. He could mean anyone ;-)
