Description

Do yourself a favor and zoom on this one. I've left it really big. The detail is amazing! If you like art nouveau, it'll blow you away. If you see some clone marks that don't match up, just ignore it, will you? I took out a light post and some wires and a bracket on the wall and signs in the windows ... you get the idea. I'd rather you be distracted by some imperfect clone work than by light posts and wires and brackets and signs in the windows! I was shooting a series of shots of the front of this building, and Mark had that "what IS she looking at now?" expression on his face. All of a sudden he lit up and exclaimed, "Oh! The fire escapes! You're taking pictures of the fire escapes!" I'm like ... "WHAT fire escapes???" Turns out there are some totally cool fire escapes on the side of this building. I think one or two of those might have turned out. If I got a good one, I'll show it to you later. (I think Marilyn already did, but it's been a while.) It's just fascinating, the different things people see. Don't forget to zoom! ... p.s. It's all tile and marble ... no painting.

I love Art Nouveau and the zoom is brillant! Everything that Chip and Mark said! I hope I get to go to Chicago again someday and if I do, I'm going to review all these photos and make a list of places I want to go see. And since I already have a list, I had better make the visit a long one. :~)
