I've not been around here much of late, and with the Mega battle I'm now involved in with my boys downstairs in the dungeon, I don't have much weekend time free either! So many of you have been posting some amazing stuff, and I have so much catching up to do. I figured I'd nail two birds with one stone with this, as I had to do at least something halloweenish, and give an update as to the "C" word issue. I started buying the foam fakey pumpkins a few years back, and carving them. These things keep forever, and you only have a bit of a mess only once with each one. As for Cheri,...the state of Wisconsin had cashed the checks written out and her card came on Monday. It seems that Social Services didn't really like the local television news channels poking around and asking questions. This part of the battle is finally over and done with!!! Yaaaay! Although it was an unexpected one, and put a huge delay in getting her better, we can finally move back to where we were in August, and get on with the total destruction of this malady that affects her. I thank each and every one of you all out there for supporting Cheri and I throughout this ordeal so far. For any skeptics,....all of the well wishing, encouragement, lit candles, thoughts and prayers, WORKS!!! We never doubted that we would make if finally back to this point, how could we not, with an entire army of people behind us? Thank you so much for everything to date, her birthday just totally rocked, I never dreamed there would be such an outpouring of caring like that, I was awestruck by the number of dedications to our Cheri and can only imagine what the admins. were thinking as it all poured out. You people are the best of the best, you all rock,....and we love you all so much!

We do love you all! The battle for my insurance is done, but not the one I am attempting to get for others who fall between the cracks. I am still going through that one. This is a great shot honey. I watched intently as he set this up. It was cool to watch. Awesome Babe!

That is awesome news!!!! I am so glad Cheri stuck to her guns and did not let them intimidate her. Very sad to say but that is what you have to do much of the time when dealing with these agencies. There are perhaps exceptions but from my experience its almost always an uphill battle to get anything done. Love your picture btw! :O)

The pumpkins seem happy also. That is fantastic news. I am so glad you are winning your battle against the system. Now if we could just get those bastards in Washington to care more about people like Cheri and less about their campaign contributions maybe we could get somewhere. Stay strong. We are all rooting for both of you.

Glad to hear things are going in the right direction. Looking forward to hear that she is actually going to get some treatment for her cancer and become a breast cancer survivor very soon. What a bunch of beaurocratic crap one has to go through to get some medical treatment in this world today. Ya, we up here don't pay directly out of pocket but just don't get sick as these so called professionals suck. Gettin financing is half the battle, finding a good doctor that actually cares about their patients well being is the second half of the battle. Praying for all of you.

Cheri and Dave that is AWESOME news....I am so happy to hear you can take one step forward....seems in life we take one step forward and two back, but in this case it is very important for you to just KEEP PUSHING ahead no matter what. Your a fighter and have allot of folks backing you up...so hang in there and remember to keep smiling...if anything it makes people wonder what your up to! Awesome news for Cheri! I haven't been around either and I am sorry for that. Without details, my battle continues too but I am thrilled for Cheri and continue prayers and candles for her!
