Description

This lovely clematis was growing in someone's yard in Chicago, and I raised the camera up over the fence to get this shot. I did it in plain sight, though, and wasn't trying to fool anyone, so ... SNEAK FACTOR = LOW I haven't given you a sneak factor lately, but I haven't really been posting any sneaky shots, either! :P Enjoy the mental image! LOL!

Oooooh...this is gorgeous. I like the twiddles in the middle, they're so sharp, so well defined, and the colors are wonderfully subtle. Funny how pistils and stamens become twiddles...but then, all sorts of things come oozing out of my head at times. Anyway...this is gorgeous. Low sneak factor or not, your efforts paid off, and I love these little details of Chicago: little intimate bits that could be anywhere in the world, but they're here. Nice. Very nice, indeed.

Knowing that in general, you were walking about in a concrete jungle, where did you find somebody with a yard in the high-rise area of Chicago? Sort of reminds me of the old novel/movie/stage play, "A Tree grows in Brooklyn". Except that this is a beautiful, lavender clematis. Very nicely composed...I, unfortunately would have never seen this if I was by myself. I continue to be amazed at the different things that catch different photographers attention. I am reading a new book on photographic vision...I may learn something:)

Nice shot and low snaeky factor is sometimes good depending on the neighborhood!

How pretty! The petals drape like a full skirt. I have given up my sneaking to get shots now. I simply walk up and wait for someone to tell me to go away or for them to release the hounds on me... LOL

Outstanding macro, details and color. I haven't been caught sneaking yet but you have to understand that I live in an over 55 community. No dogs to chase me either. Dana
