Description

maybe one of our aviary experts can identify this bird. it was flying below Hoover dam when Jocko500 and myself were walking across.the focus is not what I would like. I was using auto focus and it was picking up on the background instead I went to bed at 8:30 last night, then got up and went home at 11:00.no I am joking. I was really tired for some reason.installing my programs wore me out I suppose. M4 and V4 would not install until after I installed Mil dragon. Mike(mapps) said because they are dragon hunters!! thanks for having a look and of course any comments are welcomed

Great capture, not sure either I am pretty sure its not a pigeon. That's weird on M4 and V4. Mike maybe right as I have seen them hunting dragons!

What a privilege to see such a magnificent bird and fabulous that you managed to capture it on camera. Funny you should mention about auto on your camera, I have relied on that far too much in the past, and am trying to correct how I take my photos now. Of course my photography is never as good as yours, but I am still learning Ha ha! Thanks so much for supporting my gallery Richard, much appreciated, hugs Jane xx

I am no bird expert either...but it looks like a Redtail Hawk, or some type of Hawk....very awesome capture by the way....and Mapps is probably right o that, these characters seem to have mind of their own on my comp as well. I now have Windows 7 and it is running OK but the fancy little things it does to show me it is 'working' drives me insane...lol

That is definitely a bird;) I like how even out of focus you framed it so well on the lower right, it's great wing reference too!

On the Mill people, you needed to install to Daz studio then direct to poser, it is a DAZ issue that has to do with how they set up there installer, v4 came out before SmithMicro bought poser so the v4 and M4 installers do not recognize the name, now I install all of the daz stuff this way, Great capture and I will go along with the Ospry!

I have to agree it is an osprey. I had occassion to research these birds this year and the band of white on the face is the clue. They are very large and the underside is mostly white. You cannot see the feet here but Danob told me they are the only bird of prey with all toes the same length with makes them the best airborne fisherman in their class. Stunning shots of an awesome bird.
