Description
I took these shots along one of my favorite hiking trails. I hadn't been on it since Spring because all that went on in my personal life since then.
Back in the Spring the trail was surrounded by lush greenery and bunches of colorful flowers and the trailside streams ran with water. After a long dry summer most of that greenery has turned to brown and most of the flowers had died and the streams are dry.
But scattered here and there amongst all the dryness an occasional flower showed up. These little - most are smaller than the nail on your little finger - beauties somehow managed to thrive in the 100 degree(F) temperatures and lack of moisture. They are true survivors.

A beautiful composition. The flower in the middle grows where I live (Sweden) as well. But here it is light blue, like the sky. Lovely shot.
