Description

Markal and WeeLaddie back-lighting suggestion lets us better see details in the ship and water. It worked out really well. The image has more detail, yet seems softer. It is less tense, but then I didn't go crazy with colors on this one. Clouds much thicker, steel colored back-light, and less foam on waves.

Yes...I like the first version also but it has a different mood...this one does show the wonderful ship details...the sails seemed a bit more billowy in the first render...as you can see I always nit-pik and many times overlook that art doesn't have to be perfect...it just has to look good....this looks excellent!

Not as dramatic or emotive as the first image, but excellent, nonetheless. Love the clouds and the brooding mood.

Amazing mood, great composition! The fragmentary water is a little bit strange for me. Good work!
