Description

This is a small herd of Impala ewes photographed in the Kruger National Park in South Africa. The Park officials do controlled burns during winter to prevent disasterous wildfires which have, in the past, killed many animals and humans. These girls found a spot where the new green grass was beginning to sprout! Impala are always overlooked by wildlife photographers because they are so common, but I find them a joy to watch and photograph! Thank you for popping in and for your valued comments and favs on my last upload! Stay well! Hugs Carin xx

Hmm, on a trip to the Park we decided to keep a record of what we had seen. These, as you say Carin, are so common that they became named 'nog 'n bokkie'! (another buck). Wonderful capture of the ladies, including the environment! Cheers, Clive

I love the smooth look you gave this with the noise cleaning... It really has a sweet touch to it. You have hit on one of my favorite animals of Africa. they have such grace and an amazing will to survive. A really tender shot.

Oh, real Impalas....I thought it would be a Chevrolet Impala from the early 1960s. These are really beautiful animals, and you have done a yeoman's job of presenting them in all their glory, Carin. How could those photogs be so jaded in the presence of such lovely fauna?

Aha, but they are not so common everywhere. Except for the cars and some real ones in some bigger zoos we don't have any. I don't think the cars count really. Thank you for sharing. I have never seen so many.
