Description

This is a substantial update to Pebble bed (WIP), which I posted nearly two weeks ago. Thanks to everyone for all your helpful suggestions, particularly Stephen (WZRD) and Cathy (Novelist). The pebbles in the depths of the water are no longer visible - hence the change in the title. Of course you can't see the wood elves, but I'll try to orchestrate a meeting... watch this space! A very nice development. The strong light and shadow reminds me a painting style from the gothic-romantic era. Fine work Craig.

I agree with e-brink, this reminds me of a romantic landscape painting. I love what you've done with the lighting and water elements. The atmosphere is gorgeous with so much depth and rich textures. This is the kind of scene I'd like to walk through. Thanks for thinking of me, too. : )

As far as showing the surface and movement of the water, this is a great improvement. I liked the dry riverbed and pebble details of the original too though. Both are stunningly beautiful and masterly rendered. Looking forward to seeing the elves...
