Hello again!
Glasgow is a dirty old workingclass city - I have heard this stereotype very often.
But Glasgow has a lot to offer:
-The fine old commercial downtown with it victorian houses,
-a lot of young people around the university;
-a lot of galleries and an booming art scene;
-lots of museums;
the fine tenement houses of the western suburbs;
-a booming scotic gaelic folkmusic scene with all their production abilities, musicians, famous festivals as the "Celtic Connection" and others...
One highlight is the botanical garden of Glasgow with its fine old greenhouses. This pic here was taken at 10.00 o´clock in the evening,; the days are very long in summer. And the entry here was free!! I couldn ´t believe that.
A paradise for a someone like me who comes from the mega- moneymachine Germany....
