I have been using RR for 5 years now and have had my eyes opened to the wonderful artistic talents of you all. I never realised there were so many visual art forms.I have always enjoyed taking photographs simply for my own pleasure and as a marker for events in my life.  I have bought a Nikon D40 DSLR & a Panasonic TZ6, I am very much an amateur. I need to go on a course to understand how to use a digital camera properly as I have real difficulties other than point and shoot.I will post my photographs and hope that some of you will find them pleasant but please remember I am a simple soul!Thank you to those of you who make comments, all are greatly appreciated.  I love looking at your galleries for inspiration. One member has recently used one of my shots from 2008 as a shot produced by him. Whilst I am an amateur, I take things like this seriously (2013) and have now managed to have it removed from his gallery and will do so if anyone else does the same. I wouldn't dream of copyright breaches so cannot understand why someone would do it to me. He has also now uploaded it on the site Art Wanted.com. Alas their moderators are not as responsible and helpful as those on this site. I have 2 exotic cats, Foggy and Boris. I adore my cats.  I am quite sure I will end up as a mad old spinster of a cat woman and do I mind? Nope.Thank you for your support

Thanks for remembering our soldiers killed in Afghanistan... with them, we remember all the soldiers of each country died for peace!

Fantastic capture, I am wondering what the distance was between the various levels they were flying at. Less than a week ago the 2nd Battalion The Rifles marched through Croydon, to be inspected by the Mayor. They had just arrived home after a 6 month Tour in Afghanistan, having lost 13 men and many more injured. There was also a Military Band playing. Brave young men - it was very moving.

Maybe not the greatest shot, no... but.. That's not the point.. They were paying tribute to soldiers who had paid the highest price... Its not only U.S. or U.K. troops out there ... No As this shows strikingly, Italians, and others are out there to... Respect to them... And indeed to the pilots of the planes! I have seen them.. They are Very Good.. Rob

Magnificent capture Susan! So sad all this war stuff, I feel badly for those that lost their lives, but equally as bad for those left behind! Another sad thing is we don't hear about the others countries losses here anymore, only our own.
