Description

Hello and thanks for viewing... A little while back, our friend Rick (HaveCancer) invited me to 'play' in his ongoing 'Render War' with Steff7, Shadownet, Altec7, Faemike55, and a bunch of other folks. The Sinking of Seaview123 I looked back through some of the old posts in this series, but I couldn't make heads or tails of this long and very... imaginative... storyline. I decided to post a little comic strip to respond to Rick's challenge. I'm no good at adding 'word balloons' to my pictures, so the dialog is below: 1. Two winged harpies are flying over the ocean, when they spot a futuristic submarine in the shallows. They decided to try to sink her! 2. An unexpected explosion rocks the sea as the submarine is tossed violently about. Although powerful, the missile launched by the winged vixens is not enough to damage the mighty vessel. 3&4. "Man Battlestations! Take us to periscope depth!" shouts the Captain. The sleek vessel rises from the depths to skim just beneath the waves. 5&6. "It seems we've been attacked by Harpies with Hellfire missiles! A pair of flying vampire women are trying to sink us!" 7. "I seem to recall that vampires don't like bright light very much. Fire the laser!" 8. It seems the Captain is right and the laser toasts the flying supernatural creatures, causing them to fall from the sky! 9. "Sir, I've gotten a radio message from COMSUBLANT (Commander, Submarines, Atlantic Fleet). We're in position to close that mysterious black hole with our experimental missile!" 10 - 14. The missile streaks skyward into space, and detonates, destroying the spacial anomaly! (yeah, I know you can't blow up a black hole, but somebody had to do something about it. If you think this is too farfetched, read the rest of this series! -- Tom) 15 - 16. The sub slides silently back into the depths. "That's another world threatening crisis averted. Now I'm starved... what's for chow?" "It's the crew's favorite," replies the XO (Executive Officer), "Crab Leg Surprise!" Thanks for asking me to play, Rick. Hope you liked it. As for the rest of you, let us know what you think! Tom Seaview123 PS -- I modeled the periscope out of primatives in Poser, and I created the submarine in Vue 7 Esprit. I uploaded the sub model to my freebies section, if anyone's interested.

LOL, I love it. of course you forgot that both Kora and Pemmess have the Impenetrable Untouchable Device" or IUD as it was known for short. She can walk in daylight wihout sunscreen and drink holywater to keep cool. All this has no effect on her. Wooden stakes merely tickle, then tick her off. She knows that the laws of the Rendo god will forever ban the wretched Steff_7 from taking the unholy IUD from her. She knows it is something he could not fathom or even picture. She knows the the Rendo god will smite him and remove his render if he trys. Of couse you can not stop the end of the Rendoverse with a mere missile. So make sure you get all your freebies early.

That has to be the cutest thumbnail ever, too! I like the plain frames with the guy looking through the periscope--they are elegantly lit! And LOL at Havecancer--what a wit!
