Description
Cranes visit us twice a year ,autumn and spring ,they travel from Europe to Africa ,but after crossing the Mediteranian sea ,they are exhausted and hungry and they rest for a few weeks before continuing their journey .Sometimes I`m lucky and see them arriving from their long trip and then the sky is black from birds .This year they arrived earlier then usual ,which means that Europe can expect a very cold winter .
For those of you who like to watch large flocks of birds you can watch this video on YouTube

Wonderful capture. The guy on the bottom looks like his legs are dragging a bit. Looks like they made it just in time. What a lovely scene, with a perfect sky.

This is just awesome. I have never seen more then one crane flying in the sky. they are amazing and beautiful birds. Every spring we see turkey vultures fly overhead, it seems like hundreds and hundreds as they migrate back from the south. Canada Geese and Starlings are the only birds I've seen in huge flocks besides the vultures. I love to watch huge flocks of starlings in flight. Oh, and pigeons too, see them quite often in flight as flocks, wheeling almost wing tip to wing tip. Another amazing sight.
