Description
(more bug comic)
We left Bryan last contemplating his water bill, and planning a trip to Wellington (ten minutes on the train) to go to the bank, send money to the Ellesburg Municipal Water Supply, and donate some blood for cash so he can eat for the rest of June. He's a little paranoid about going to a rural hospital (he's heard urban legends about mer disappearing in hospitals, because they are worth a lot more in pieces) so he wants to tell Frank (on our right, with no head) where he's going. Bryan is worrying needlessly, but he's like that;)
Frank is busy explaining the bug bounty system to the University Contract students, of which you can only see Rain and Claudia, the Brasilian exchange student (in the high-tech suit) because I am lazy. There are three more behind us. Frank did point out to Claudia that her clothes were going to get messed up, so she should wear old ones, and she just smiled and said "These *are* my old clothes!" It's also an amazing high-tech armor suit that lights up at night.
The bug on the left (the one Dawn is using as a table) is Bob the Demo Bug, and they have already tested Claudia's crossbow on it--you can see the tape where they covered the hole. Frank is very excited at the thought of at last having a distance weapon that doesn't light the bugs on fire. Larry Alrasid is the dweeby looking guy in the center. He is Newton's letter carrier, still in uniform from doing that morning's rounds, and he's funny and fearless--despite being tiny, he's killed as many bugs as Frank. The big guy in the copper armor is his brother Wally, the town blacksmith. Wally has just made the leg armor he's wearing and he's not impressed with the fit--as soon as they are done he'd going back to the shop to bang out the right leg a bit wider, which is why he's standing awkwardly and looking a bit cranky. He's also the goalie for a Wellington street hockey team, as you might have guessed.
And this is the last time I'm doing a wide view if I can help it--it gets way too compressed on the web! Jepe's Kyle tex on Larry, from Daz, default M4 on Wally, Zyanya for V4 by gypsyangel on Claudia, as well as Tabala. Gypsyangel's Evan tex on Frank, what you can see of it.
There is so much stuff I know I have forgotten things, just IM me if you want to know where something came from!
EDIT: Yes, Bob is missing some legs from student practice, Wally hasn't had a chance to wire them back on yet;)

Bob the demo bug?!! ROTFLMAO!!! Ya gotta start somewhere right? What a tale this is becoming. You are doing a fantastic job of bringing it to life. You've also done a marvelous job of remembering where everything came from! Much better than I would have. Keep them coming! I'm enjoying them as they unfold!!

Lynn this one is spectacular and you did brilliant in both scene and story. For some reason this reminds me of a ancient computer game called (It Came From The Desert) that I used to love.

Wouldn't Bob get tired of being the 'demo bug' all the time? I know I would! Great picture, really nice job of putting it together!

Not sure I'm following the story, I feel like I missed some parts or didn't pay enough attention. But your images are really excellent. That's a lot of characters for you to keep track of and repeat the features. But you're doing a great job, I recognize Brian coming our way in the background :) Wonderful composition on this image.

Cool scene!!!!!!

OMG...how did I miss this?! This is so very cool...and so very ambitious! I don't think I've ever put more than 3 characters in a scene. And this one is so detailed, even though you claim it's so compressed. Awesome image and a great addition to the 'graphic novel'!
gillbrooks
Well that's an interesting scene ! But PERLEASE!! Will somebody shoot that monster bug???????????? ACK!

Somehow I missed this one. I am in awe of your talent. I love how clear and crisp this image is. From an artistic view it paerfect. As for the story, I think I would be moving far awayfrom this place. Too many VW sized crawling things for me. Looks like this intrepid team has things well under control though.
