From the looks of the surrounding ground, somebody must have seen some real beauty in the old tree when it was just a spunky sapling. Nice catch at a prime time of the day:)

The white rocks and century plants are fabulous with this. Someone knows how to decorate. Wonderful glowing light accenting the subject.

Nice. I'm strange in that I enjoy old dead stumps of trees as much as living ones!

I love the title. It's so casual and it reminds me of something Pavl would say, just before showing me something amazing. The title alone made me smile when I thought of that. And for the image itself. WOW! You did a wonderful treatment to this, and the sense of atmosphere is wonderfully strong and meditative. With the stones around it, I think of this as a place of worship, like its one of those apparently dead trees that suddenly starts blossoming whenever a hero is born or something. I love that feeling; there's such promise in it, even if it's "just an old, dead tree." You turn it into so much more.

Even an olddead tree can have it's own beauty and you caught it. I like that somebody put the stones around the base. You must have ancient bristlecone trees up your way? Dana
