I'm back with a passion and a lust for life
Everything I've done I've done for my wife
If I'm left on the side of the road to die
I hope that someone out there will feel to cry
All the things that I've done that I've done for my nation
I hope that one day that I can meet my creation
And come back to say that it was all for some reason
And not just another god damned christmas season
For what are we if not human being
All this time spent just on our fleeing
Eternal damnations only one laugh away
and Heaven awaits us all for some day
As I'm tearing the skin and flesh from my bone
I'll be reaching out to that old telephone
To tell them back home that I'm not coming back
that I've left my poor soul out there somewhere in Iraq

That was interesting. It is written well and flows easy off the tongue. Thanks. I hope you come back... I have my own views on this issue. I doubt they are anything you want or need to hear given I am guessing to say your there now. So, I'll just keep em to myself and wish you the best and hope to see you back home soon, along with the rest of our people that are there with you.

HELLO, old FRIEND. Superbly written piece. I'm reminded of an old JOE SOUTH hit song from MY day, "WALK A MILE IN MY SHOES". Everyone has THEIR walk on this orbiting earth. No one TRULY KNOWS what EACH goes through do they? I only hope that you find whatever you NEED to make this earthly existence worth your trip.
