Description

When there's dogs, you gotta let them out at night before everyone goes to bed. They need that last chance to go potty too, you know. But when it's late at night, there are things out there in backyards, scurrying around, looking for midnight snacks. Tuesday night, close to midnight, hubby let the dogs out, and he commented that it seemed strange that they wanted back in the house so fast. And then he went and opened the door to let them in. EWWWWWWWW! SKUNK! The whole house filled with the smell of SKUNK as Murphy and the Big Dog came charging in the door! The whole house STILL smells of skunk, and so does poor little Murphy. This is poor little Murphy after his bath, he lookes so pathetic I had to snap a picture. Lucky B-dog didn't get hit this time, Murphy got it all. My poor stinky dog. Sadly, nothing takes the smell off. Thankfully it's not so strong now. But Ewwwww .. the house. I hope that smell goes away by Thanksgiving! I thank you all for the wonderful comments on the previous post, "I smell cake" and faves on it too. I'm so glad you all helped me to wish Jane a Happy Birtday!

Awww. I can empathize. I had to de-skunk several dogs in my day when living in the country. I'm surprised the tomato juice bath didn't work. There is no worse odour in the world when it comes into your home. The photo is adorable, though. : )

Oh how pitiful Murphy looks! I would definitely have to have a close-pin on my nose. I am so sorry and I hope the smell leaves both the pooch and the house soon. Marvelously pitiful image!

luckily, we have no skunks in Russia but dogs tend to find other stinky sources. low-grade washing soup foam + sponge could be a way, from my experience, but I wonder if you have such in shops.
