Description

Exactly the same settings as the previous image.. Adjustment of expression and posing the hair is all that has been changed.. This is the best portrait that I have rendered to date.. IMHO Thank You all for looking and commenting. Al input is valuable.. Take care and have FUN.. P.S. I forgot to turn ray tracing off on the hair. so there was a 22 hour wait for the render.. silly Me

The closeup portrait is good. I agree, it is your best portrait to date. Can see the detailing of the sword, as well as the subtlety of the skin.

the skin tex is good, but needs more 'naturalness' to it - spots and wrinkles are all over even the best skin. See this portrait: http://bit.ly/4yOOJV - this is probably overkill on the freckles, but it does have more feel to it. Also, lighting, with just one light your character looks flat and unrelated to the background. See this tute on 3-point lighting: http://www.mediacollege.com/lighting/three-point/ - having a back light will help out. I always have at least 5 lights on the go... also if you're using Poser 7 or above, put sub-surface scattering on the skin (it's in the detailed controls on the material settings) - a backlight will then make the skin 'glow' more.
