You have anticipated very well some aspects of the near future! I agree completely with the idea that humanity goes slowly but for sure towards dark age! Great image, anyway, though I would like to see it in bigger format.

great scene, pose and composition - very dystopian image - truth is: we never left the the dark ages and the light at the end of the tunnel might be an incoming train.

Really well done image. The lighting is excellent and I like the fact you included human figures which give the full impact of the size of the mine head.

This is not even futuristic, it is happening NOW. Here in the states as one goes south into Pennsylvania and further, there are strip mines that are nothing but raw, naked earth. Some places have been re-forested, but the damage to the land is shocking to behold, truly rape of the planet earth. A stunning and disturbing render, and a very real one in the present day in many parts of our world.

Excellent combination of the primative and futuristic - they blend very well. Kudos.

Breathtaking scene with awesome scale offered by the human figures. Very dramatic and effective transition on the lighting from deep shadow to illuminated sky. Wonderful work!!
