First thank you all for the love you surrounded me with the week of my birthday, for the beautiful gifts, and kind birthday greetings, for the support of my poem and the faves :0)
Like many of you lovely friends Dave made me a gift, but sent it private as it had a connection to my mother. I was thrilled and knew you would all want to share this thoughtful gift he made me. He has over the last few difficult years shown me so much love, kindness and support and has become a brother to me, and I am honoured to be his adopted cyber sister.
Dave remembered that my mother would sew my costumes when I was a dancer, and also together we would make my dresses for the Saturday night dance when in my teens. That in mind he created this beautiful render, and of course I was thrilled. Noticing a few spaces I asked if I could add some of my pets and he agreed.
So the 2 real pets of today are Mistapus looking back, and Carina my white dog. The other animals were cleverly painted by Ilona, but I just tweaked them a little to make them look like the pets I loved long ago in my youth.
I added the frame and tweaked the lighting a bit, and hey voila! my first collab with my dear bro Dave!!!
I hope you enjoy this picture lovingly created by myself and Dave, and thank you for all the support and love you showed both of us!!

Fabulous work Jane/Dave, while Jane was dancing on a Saturday, I was at Saturday morning pictures :o) Jane & I have a little laugh about this when we meet!!!!! Sis, I'm so glad you decided to share my gift to you with everyone and so honored to be a part of creating this lovely dedi with you for your birthday. You really are one of a kind Jane, and one of the kindest and most caring ladies it has been my pleasure to know. I still can't get over all the magical touches you added and just how wonderful it looks with all the precious puppies and kittens running about.

Dear Jane, an instant fave, but LOL, I just don't know who to fave, you or Dave, so you have to share with Dave, as the collaboration between you two is just magical! Dave brought to life such a wonderful memory from your youth, what a joy it must have been to make these beautiful dressed with your Mum! She must have been a wonderful seamstress! Such a lovely setting he has for this beautiful memory. You've added the finishing touches with the beloved companions from those days, they were such a big part of your lives that just couldn't be excluded! And having Mistapus and Carina in the image connects it solidly to the present. Such a beautiful piece the two of you have created! So filled with loving memories.

What beautiful work from you both, and what a lovely gift Dave created for you. And btw Happy belated, Birthday Jane. This reminds me of my mom as well she used to sew special dresses and costumes for me and my sister as well, and taught me how to sew so I could do the same for my children. I still have one of the dresses she made me many years ago, she had embroidered the bodice (front panel) so it is very unique, and I know the time she put into that piece alone.
