I know most people dont like snakes but... I think in full view he looks cool. He was tryin to cross the path, me and another guy stopped traffic. Best in full view :)

I love the details here and the way his eye refracts light and makes that bluish tinge. Snakes are such cool creatures, very hypnotic in their way, very elegant. And aren't King Snakes stunt doubles for poisonous snakes that amateur snake charmers use because they're impressive and relatively docile...? Or am I thinking of some other snake breed? At any rate, this is top notch photography! Wonderfully done!

Terrific detail! I think snakes are fascinating and beautiful, but I also have a very healthy respect for them. That probably came from seeing the two children's graves, both died of snake bite, at graveyard working when I was a kid. Living in south Louisiana, we always talked loudly to the snakes and so very rarely saw them. I've greatly enjoyed the few times I've handled nonpoisonous ones. You've capture the detail of this one's head so wonderfully. Excellent shot!
