Description

Henties Bay, Namibia - March 2009. The small town of Henties Bay is about 75 km north of Swakopmund on the Skeleton Coast and is built on a natural dune about 50 feet high. This is where we stayed for the 2 weeks. It is great fun going down the dune to the beach area but far less fun getting back up... LOL... I captured this image one afternoon just after sunset and loved the light play on the Atlantic waters! Thank you for stopping by and for your kind comments and favs on my 'Weathered" upload of yesterday! Stay well! Hugs Carin xx

It seems insane to think anyone could come back up sand that steep but how fascinating to think the dune stays in place so well. Stellar shot. Love the lighting and the pov.

Magical. Now, I've even got sand in my shoes! The atmosphere here is beautiful. And for compo, you've got the requisite couple of birds in flight:)

Love the POV, lighting, color blends and the serration of the frothy water edge as it reaches across the sand, Carin! Simply and utterly spectacular, my friend!
