Description

If you combine a cheap 500mm lense and a 2X teleconverter and attach them to your camera, this is the image you will get using a sturdy tripod. Taken from the Bennett Causeway on the night of the last Shuttle launch I witnessed.

Wow! That was my first response so I'm sticking to it. Last May, when I was at U-Bar-U Ranch, there was a telescope set up belonging to one of the visitors. The sky was very uncooperative, so we didn't get to see much, but we did see Saturn and then the moon. I was transfixed and had to remember to be nice and give up my turn periodically. Thanks for this beautiful capture and the memory it evoked!

A nice, crisp capture of our natural satellite at full moon. I wonder what would have happened if you had reduced the brightness via postwork.
