Description

This is my spot, the place I go to meditate, get away from voices, noise, people. I jump on my bike and just go. I don't bring anything but myself. I sit and watch, listen, hear what the world says to me. It's my bliss. I left southern California today. It was a bittersweet time. My friend Caron and I cried our eyes out, then my sister and I did the same thing. It IS time to go home, but leaving was hard. As I drove north, I'd find myself with tears rolling down my cheeks. Not just for the leaving, but for the realization I was leaving behind some very wonderful times. I know there are more to come; I have to go home, sift thru everything I have, and see what I find. At this moment, I'm with my other sister; will be here for a couple of days. More road time, more time to think and probably to cry. It has been a most amazing journey and I think it's only the beginning.

Wow, love the purple haze on the horizon and the lone gull at the water's edge...even if it isn't quite purple...it should be. Thanks for taking me to your beach...we should have brought a sandwich:)

Suddenly a person can turn around and discover they are not where they thought they were. Sorting through the cubbies to find what is needed for the journey ahead sometimes is almost overwhelming. I wish you all the best and ease while you find your way to where you are headed. This is a perfect spot for thought BTW. Shining with hope and promise. Oh, and just to let you know, my special place to meditate is behind the frosted door of the masterbath shower. Its the only place I know of where no one dares to try and bother me while I'm having a crisis. Personally, I think I like your spot better. It appears drier.

Beyond sensational and terrific reflections in this shot, Maz, with brilliant contrast between the ocean and the sky! I can understand your weeping over leaving, but please control it while driving back up north. And, good luck sifting through your mail when you get back.

With every leaving there is a beginning ... you'll know what to do.

I echo Tara here...with every departure, there is always the promise of reunion. Oh, Victor said that too...only not exactly in a version of English any of us would recognize. He speaks "Victorian" after all...but yes...departures are saddening things, they tell us what is important to us, and in each departure there are always the seeds of a happy return. As for this image...it's fantastic; so sharp and relaxing, so full of complex emotions that dance around and play with each other. This is amazing! I love it!
