Description
belgium's van rompuy has been chosen by the leaders of the 27 states as the first 'european president'
actually it was negotiating to find someone who posed no real danger to any of the others - that's european 'democracy' for you.
i would laugh if it was not so sad!

To the point !!! Heel knap gezien en sneller dan deze kon echt niet. Het lijkt wel of je het voorontwerp al klaar had. Nou... onze 'Van Rompuit' of jullie 'Harry Potter'... maakt het een verschil uit :-)))) ?

Here in the U.S. we are all too familiar of "that feeling"

Ag .. mustn't rock the boat! Apparently the EU is in the camp that believes that how things LOOK is more important than how things ARE. Ah well. The world is rife with such things. An excellent illustration and political commentary.

No idea, no program...Sure a "good" president.

Ah...yes...mustn't rock the boat, or do something so provocative as sell bananas that aren't to the exact EU-approved curvature, and what not! I love this illustration and commentary because I was in Prague (and having to leave) when things started to get a wee bit crazy there due to crackdowns and such on non EU Citizens within the EU-only Club...er, um...I mean Schengen Area. The world would be so much better without religion and politics (one and the same, the leaders just dress differently, but that's a rant for later.) I love this work, and it's a great way for me to start catching up on your gallery. I love this style...very spare, very elegant, and potent with all sorts of symbols that resonate in my life especially. Great work.
