An image to think by:-) Gently lapping water of the sound I presume. Three posts or what's left of 'em. Makes me think of other things in threes, such as Mark Twain's 3 lies: Lies, Damned Lies, Statistics; or the 3-monkey philosophy: Hear no Evil, See no Evil, Speak no Evil; or Ezra Pound's 3 poetic modes: Melopoeia (sound), Phanopoeia (image), Logopoeia (meaning) Time to go to bed...I'm running off on a tangent here:-))) A superb photo!

Beautiful but a bit melancholy. The ruins of someone's industry.

The title made me think of the lyrics of Lorenz Hart "Thou swell! Thou Witty! Thou Grand!" The image with its melancholy air, and the ebb and flow of the waves makes me think of "Dover Beach" by Matthew Arnold. The ragged three posts also fits his theme of religious doubt. Beautiful and evocative image!

This is gorgeous. Those lonely pilings remind me of "the three brothers" which are these three rocks one of Victor's friends took a photograph of. This image is pure, visual poetry, and it reminds me of a kind of wordless haiku. That's always a fantastic thing. I love it when art crosses media and genres and transforms into...this kind of wonderful stuff. Art, yes...but something more as well. I love this!
