Jimmy Bannister had been born in space. For all of his nine years the only home hed known was the Interstellar Starship Pacifica. Now, sixty billion miles from earth, Jimmy understood a weekly cycle to be the time between Cornhusker football games, and on Saturday afternoons he locked himself in his room where he watched Nebraska beat the pee out of every team on the planet. Even from that great distance Jimmy had no trouble simultaneously downloading the game from all three national networks: CBS - Cornhusker Broadcasting System, NBC - Nebraska Broadcasting Company, and ABC - Angus Bulls Communications.
