Description

Arty architecture, captured 9/13/09, at the beautiful Cerritos Center for the Performing Arts, in beautiful Cerritos, California. I made two trips to this area on Sundays when there are no people around to distract me or get in the way of my sacred task, resulting in my taking tons/tonnes of uninterrupted pictures. The photos from the first trip were scrubbed because of the unfavorable morning lighting conditions. The shots above are from the last visit, when the sun was in a more advantageous spot. Since this is such a beautiful and immaculate edifice, and even if it was on a Sunday with no performances slated for that time, I was surprised that there was no one around to watch over it; no guards, no security cameras, no nothin. Just me and my camera peacefully and repeatedly snapping away. Many more fotos of this lovely performing arts center to be posted in the future. Toodles, and you know the rest.

Beautiful building all the way down to the matching green shades. and beautiful grounds surrounding the area. and your descriptions always make me smile... California rocks so do you !!! Have you attended a performance there? I bet it is stunning inside as well. Happy holidays young man :)

Excellent captures! I like in the forth one, that the round lights look like balls resting on the hedges. On that same one I see color coordinated curbs and stripes on the pavement. Very beautiful place and images!

Wowww!! This is fabulous! The front of the building is even more glorious than the back. Thanks for going back when the light was better ... these images were totaly worth the trouble! (I looked, but I didn't see any mistakes in the tile pattern.)
